Seniors Shine Onstage in 'Freaky Friday'
Prepare to be captivated by West Valley High School’s musical performance of “Freaky Friday.” Director Brandon Lamb poured months of careful consideration into selecting a show that would spotlight the exceptional talents of this year's graduating seniors.
Inspired by the classic Disney movie, this musical intricately weaves a tale of a mother and daughter swapping bodies, highlighting their evolving relationship and newfound mutual appreciation. Since November, devoted students from Grades 9 through 12 have been tirelessly rehearsing, eager to tackle choreography and convey a powerful message.
One of the key driving forces behind the show is dedicated choreographer, Carol Garza. According to Director Lamb, the choreography, driven by Garza’s vision and expertise, has ignited a fire within the performing students. Lamb excitedly notes the students are thriving as they push their creative limits, leading them to seize the opportunity to showcase their talents and skills.
Beyond entertainment, “Freaky Friday” aims to remind the audience to cherish life's little moments and be more understanding of the sometimes challenging dynamics between parent and child. The show runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday the week of February 29 through March 2, and again the following week, Thursday through Saturday, March 7 through March 9. Shows are nightly at 7 p.m. in the West Valley Junior High Auditorium, with a Saturday matinee each Saturday at 2 p.m.

Estudiantes Presentan el Musical 'Freaky Friday'
Prepárense para ser cautivados por la actuación musical de Freaky Friday de la preparatoria de West Valley. El director Brandon Lamb duro meses de cuidadosa consideración en seleccionar un espectáculo que demostrara el excepcional talento de los estudiantes de último año.
